Last week we had the immense pleasure of visiting the Ch\u00e2teau P\u00e9desclaux<\/a>, a real treasure nestled between Saint-Est\u00e8phe and Pauillac. To truly appreciate the harmony between modern glass and traditional Bordeaux stone, you must get close. The reception rooms are magnificent, and the river view is breathtaking. We were so captivated by the beauty of the place that we forgot to take photos of the view!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cellar at Ch\u00e2teau P\u00e9desclaux is a feat of architectural and technological engineering. Built in collaboration with the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, it preserves the aromas of the grapes thanks to a completely gravity-based elevator system, similar to that observed at Cos d\u2019Estournel and Lynch Bages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The combination of the ultra-modern steel tanks with stone, wood and glass creates a captivating experience; the P\u00e9desclaux cellar is one of the most beautiful we have visited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art is present throughout Ch\u00e2teau P\u00e9desclaux: from paintings in the castle\u2019s rooms to sculptures in the park and the cellar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
