Château Papounan is an elegant 19th-century bourgeois house with neoclassical lines, set among the Saint-Estèphe vineyards and overlooking the Gironde estuary. Surrounded by renowned wine estates, we are just 35 minutes from the Atlantic beaches and an hour from Bordeaux.
We tend our own plot of vines: after winter pruning, trellising, tying up the shoots and the September harvest, our grapes join those of the local cooperative to make the “Marquis de Saint-Estèphe”. The vineyard is farmed according to the principles of organic farming, using only products approved for organic use: discover our approach to sustainable tourism.
